What A Ride

You know, lately I have been kind of speechless and had much of nothing to say. However the last couple days have given me a few things to write about. First on the list would be that I did get a new job. Finally a job that I wanted, that I enjoy, and that I wake up each morning excited about driving to. I started on Saturday working out in the Dunes of the Desert outside Las Vegas. When I finish training I will be a dune buggy tour guide! It’s pretty awesome. Some really hard physical work, but that’s a lot of the reason I like it aside from this being a totally fun job that anyone would be lucky to have. I am currently struggling this week, as I was scheduled to work out in the dunes Monday and then again on Thursday. I have to shake loose my other job with the Mental Health agency, which is a bit difficult to do. But I have so far opened up my weekends, and made it possible to work from as early as the desert calls in the morning, to as late as  3pm. When I was hired over the phone, my new boss did say he would be understanding and didn’t want me to burn any bridges. My hopes is that he remains this way the next couple weeks while I try and get rid of my job with Majestic.

Let’s see. For a small rant. I hate Morning Radio. Now that I am up around 5am every day or earlier for this job, I listen to music to keep me awake and alert while driving. But for some reason public radio stations assume everyone wants to listen to a stupid talk show in the mornings. Every single station had some kind of talk show on and would maybe play one song every half hour! That’s not what I wanted to hear, that is boring and annoying. Your talk shows suck Las Vegas! Since I don’t have an iPod, or any music on my computer to burn to CD’s I can’t even fix my problem unless I go out and spend money I don’t really have for that type of entertainment. End Rant. :D

Yesterday I met up with some cool Aussie guys that are out travelling the world. They first made contact with me through Couchsurfing.org and I have followed them since then. The last couple days they have been in Vegas and a shot them a message hoping to take them out into the desert and show them some other attractions most tourists miss out on in their drunken madness for the length of the their visit. So I picked up em at Hooters Hotel on Topicana, and headed out past the old mining town of Nelson and made out way to the river. Jumped off some cliffs despite the weather not being ideal for swimming, and the water being much cooler than refreshing. And then we all hopped back in car after making a detour hike around the mountain, and checked out Hoover Dam for a quick visit and photo opportunity. Cool guys they were, hope to meet them at another time in another place! Check out their facebook.

And that would be all that is going on in my life. Sorry for the lack of writing, but nothing all that special has been going on up until the last week. Cheers! Hope April is going good for everyone.

New Beginnings Start With New Hair!

Today is my first day of training for my new job, and what better way to prepare myself then head out and get my hair cut! This was probably the first time i have paid for a haircut in about a year and it looks great! (See pictures attached below) I went to a place called Sports Clips. Very friendly ladies work there, and because I was a new customer I go the VIP Treatment! Hot Towels, Massage, hair washing, she styled it up for me before I left, and even shaped my beard for me.

As for the new job, I am very excited to start and see what it’s all about. It took me much longer to actually get hired on and start working, so making it out to Europe like I still have hopes for in May is going to be really tough, but I think I can pull it off! I’ll update on that later.  Next week after I have started working, and not just training I’ll be sure to write a nice detailed report of how it is, what I’m doing and what the work is like.

That’s pretty much all I have to say for now! Wish me luck!New Dew

Livin’ it

I’m enjoying myself quite a bit in Boston. no complaints at all, except, well tonight, I don’t really have anywhere to go for the night, lame sauce. Things have been good though. The city seems surprisingly small, huge at first glance, but small after you see everything, which is okay with me. I am ready to move onto a new city for sure. But not just yet.

Tomorrow morning I am supposed to fly back to California. I’m not getting on my plane. Let the phone blowing up commence. My managers are going to be pissed when i don’t show up for work Wednesday morning, and probably more pissed when I don’t answer my phone. I don’t wanna deal with it, maybe not the most noble of decisions, but what ever. It’s just a job, and a job that I don’t want much to do with any ways.

In other news, I purchased an Ipod the other day. I think I’m going to return it though. They are so expensive, and I don’t really need one, it’s just nice to have so I can always have music, but I think having money to buy food is a bit more important.

That’s really all that’s left o say. I’ll post some pictures up next time. Although, I have not taken many surprisingly. I don’t know why.

Oh Boy

Just gonna make this as quick as possible, and not very organized. Some good things in my life right now. I got my nipples pierced finally after wanting to do it for quite a few years! It looks awesome. The other day I bought a new journal and have been writing in it quite a bit, especially when I take hitch hiking trips. It looks like the tree planting companies are going to start preparing for the application process here soon, I already sent away a few e-mails, hopefully I hear back soon. On the first of the Month I started doing my Pushup work out again. I’ve started gave up so many times, but I’m sick of seeing pictures of guys I want to look like and just never doing anything about it. So even though I’ll be homeless in 3 weeks, I don’t really mind, because I am not a person to make excuses for why I can’t do things.

Now for some crazy news. Along with becoming homeless again, Brad told me he will have room for me to stay in his car with him. Which I plan on doing for a couple of weeks max. My goal is to have 1000 dollars saved up by the first week of December, and then quitting my job for good. After I quit I will go down to my good friend Mateo and have him punch out my Labret so when it comes to looking for work again, I will not have to deal with having to hid something in the dark that I love so much. I’m not going to let my desires and dreams of how I want to look, and what I want to do with my body hold me back from living the way I want, just because it’s not socially acceptable or what ever. After that I should have around 900ish dollars left, and then I plan on heading down to Vegas to spend with my sister, sounds like they want to take me to Disneyland with them as well which would be cool if it works out that way. We will see though.

Lots more hitch hiking, couch surfing and travel soon to come. And maybe some pictures. That’s all for today. :)
